The school year is winding down but preparations for next year are well underway
Summer “break” also consists of many discussions and decisions around curriculum, supply lists, room assignments, and schedules–all with the hope of creating the best learning environment and an optimal teaching setup for educators and administrators.
Unless we’ve experienced it firsthand, many of us may never fully understand the hard work and the countless planning hours behind a school day and year. But, rest assured, the efforts of so many amazing teachers and administrators will certainly be felt by everyone who walks through the school doors.
What are some of the ways we can help schools fully appreciate and utilize all of the hard work spent planning and preparing for the school year? We’re glad you asked!
Here are 3 ways Step ‘n Wash can help make the most out of the next school year for students, their families and educators.
- Clean hands = a cleaner attendance record. Better access to sinks and soap will help keep the germs out so kids can stay in the classroom.*
- All hands deserve access to the sink and soap. Handwashing should not be limited to those who can reach the sink. Ensuring students of all heights can access the sink gives children the confidence to independently clean themselves and teachers more support as they manage their class during bathroom breaks.
- Your child is in good hands. Not all facilities offer the same access to basic necessities like the sink and soap. Sending a child off for several hours a day can be tough, and knowing they may need additional support in places like the restroom can make it even more stressful. Giving caregivers peace of mind by providing resources that ensure their child has the same access as everyone throughout the day, can make a world of difference for the child and their loved ones.
The Step ‘n Wash solution may be right for your school if:
- You are an integrated school serving Kindergarten through High School and do not have accessible sinks throughout for smaller children or students of shorter stature
- As a preschool or elementary school, your school building was not designed with lowered sinks and you are currently using non-permanent solutions such as a plastic or wooden stools that can cause slipping accidents
- The middle or high school building does not have sinks that are reachable for those with height-related disabilities
Let’s help make the most of all the time and effort put into making next school year great by stepping up our school’s facilities. Give students, educators and families a year of improved health, independence and confidence with the help of Step ‘n Wash.
