What's the difference between the stainless steel and powder coated options?
Stainless steel is widely known as one of the most durable and rust-resistant metals, which is why it is used in so many restroom applications.
Our powder coated model is made of the same strength of steel, so it is just as strong and safe as the stainless steel model, but it is made from cold rolled steel that is dull -- and then finished with a matte gray powder coat. Cold rolled steel is a less expensive input than stainless steel, resulting in a lower-cost option for budget sensitive customers.
Visually, the powder coated model has a matte finish.
Both models carry the same 5-year warranty, and most customers elect to purchase the stainless steel model to match their other restroom fixtures.
How is Step 'n Wash installed?
Step 'n Wash can be installed in about 20 minutes by your facilities or maintenance team. Each unit is secured to the concrete subfloor using four stainless steel anchors.
Each anchor has a tension rating of over 3900 pounds and a shear rating of over 3000 pounds.
All installation hardware is included with each unit.
Is Step 'n Wash ADA compliant?

When a Step ‘n Wash is installed in a restroom that has two or more lavatories, your facility will remain in full compliance with all of the ADA guidelines that relate to sink access, approach and turning radius.
