ADA / Accessibility
Accessibility is key. For all.
Accessibility is a core value for Step 'n Wash. It's why we exist. And it's why it's so important to know where Step 'n Wash should and shouldn't be installed.
The simple rule: Step 'n Wash should be installed in restrooms with two or more sinks so wheelchair users can wash their hands and facilities can remain in compliance with ADA access guidelines.
Since Step 'n Wash is floor-mounted, it will interfere with wheelchair access to the sink where it is installed. This isn't an issue for most public restrooms, because most public restrooms have two or more sinks. So long as at least one sink in the restroom has appropriate wheelchair clearance, your facility will remain compliant and accessible to all.
More than 20,000+ facilities provide accessible handwashing to children, people with height-related disabilities, and wheelchair users by following these guidelines and installing Step 'n Wash where there are two or more sinks.
