Rubber Step Tread
Step 'n Wash uses a marine-grade non-stick rubber tread to help our users safely wash their hands!
When subject to excessive use, the rubber step tread can begin to wear out. Replace the rubber tread if it is showing signs of wear, especially at the front edges of the step.
Keeping Step ‘n Wash in top condition
Daily
Your cleaning team can easily include Step ‘n Wash in their daily cleaning schedule. The brushed stainless steel surfaces can be cleaned with most commercial cleaning products, and stainless steel cleaners can give it that like-new shine. A mild cleaner or soap can be used on the rubber tread and stickers.
Weekly
Check that the step is functioning properly at least once a week.
Pull it down and check that it stops in a horizontal position. Test the floor fixtures to ensure nothing is loose. If the step does not retract as it should, the gas spring must be replaced.
If the rubber tread and stickers start to show signs of wear
and tear, they should be replaced too.
Longer term
You will typically only need to order new springs, treads, and stickers every 2-3 years.
