Step ’n Wash Trademark and Brand Use Guidelines

These Trademark and Brand Use Guidelines (these Guidelines) explain how authorized resellers and distributors may use Step ’n Wash LLC trademarks and brand materials. These Guidelines are incorporated by reference into the Step ’n Wash Authorized Reseller and Distributor Terms (the Reseller Terms) and are part of your permission to use our Brand Assets.

By using any Step ’n Wash Brand Assets, you agree to follow these Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use our Brand Assets.

1) What these Guidelines cover

Marks means “Step ’n Wash,” our logos, product names, taglines, and any other brand identifiers.

Brand Assets means our Marks plus our photos, videos, drawings, diagrams, spec sheets, copy, icons, and other marketing materials we provide.

2) Your limited permission to use our Brand Assets

While you remain authorized under the Reseller Terms, Step ’n Wash grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to use Brand Assets solely to market and resell genuine Step ’n Wash Products through permitted channels.

You may not transfer this permission, allow others to use Brand Assets through you, or claim any ownership of the Marks.

3) The basic rules

You must:

  • Use Brand Assets only as we provide them or as we approve in writing.
  • Use Brand Assets only to market and resell genuine Step ’n Wash Products.
  • Keep all product descriptions and claims accurate and current.

You must not:

  • Change our logos, Marks, or other Brand Assets.
  • Use Brand Assets in a way that suggests Step ’n Wash sponsors, certifies, or endorses you beyond your authorized status.
  • Use Brand Assets after deauthorization or termination.
  • Use Brand Assets in any Marketplace context (see Section 12).

4) Using “Step ’n Wash” in text

Allowed examples

  • “We sell Step ’n Wash Products.”
  • “Authorized reseller of Step ’n Wash Products.”

Not allowed examples

  • “Official Step ’n Wash store.”
  • “Step ’n Wash certified.”
  • “Step ’n Wash partner,” unless we approve in writing.

Formatting

  • Write the brand name exactly as Step ’n Wash.
  • Do not create variations, abbreviations, translations, or lookalike spellings that function as a brand name.

5) Logo rules

You may use our logo only if you use the current file we provide and you do not alter it.

You must not:

  • stretch, compress, rotate, redraw, trace, or retype the logo
  • change colors or add outlines, shadows, gradients, or effects
  • combine our logo with your logo or create a shared mark
  • place the logo on backgrounds that reduce legibility
  • use outdated logos after we provide updated ones

Keep the logo readable and separate from other elements. Do not crowd it with text, badges, or icons.

6) “Authorized reseller” badge (if provided)

If we provide an “Authorized Reseller” badge, you may use it only if:

  • you use the badge file we provide without edits, and
  • you use it only while authorized, and
  • you do not use it on Marketplace listings or Marketplace related pages, and
  • you do not imply exclusivity or any special status beyond being authorized.

7) Product images, videos, and graphics

You may use our product photos and videos only if you use the files we provide, or your own original photos of genuine Step ’n Wash Products that are accurate and not misleading.

Edits that are generally allowed

  • cropping for layout (without changing what is shown)
  • resizing
  • simple background removal or background swaps, if the Product depiction stays accurate
  • adding your price, SKU, or a “Contact us” call to action outside the product image area

Not allowed

  • edits that change the Product’s appearance, finish, dimensions, or features
  • adding accessories, components, or features that are not included
  • overlays that obscure key Product details
  • removing watermarks, copyright notices, or attribution on files we provide
  • using our images to advertise competing products

8) Product descriptions and claims

Accuracy required. Any description of Step ’n Wash Products must be accurate, current, and consistent with our published specifications.

No unapproved compliance, certification, or performance claims. You must not claim or imply compliance, certification, or specific performance attributes unless we have provided written approval for the specific claim. This includes claims about:

  • ADA compliance
  • building code compliance
  • certifications or testing results
  • load ratings, safety ratings, or similar performance statements
  • medical benefits

No misleading comparisons. Do not make “only,” “best,” or similar superiority claims unless you can substantiate them with current, reliable evidence.

9) Customer logos, case studies, and testimonials

Do not use a customer’s name or logo, or reference a case study, without permission from the customer and from Step ’n Wash, unless we have provided a ready-to-use approved asset pack that includes those permissions.

If you use testimonials:

  • do not edit them in a way that changes the meaning, and
  • keep records showing you have permission to use them.

10) Domains, social handles, and naming

You must not:

  • register or use any domain name, social handle, page name, or business name that includes Step ’n Wash or anything confusingly similar
  • create pages that appear to be official Step ’n Wash pages
  • present yourself as Step ’n Wash

You may:

  • reference Step ’n Wash in descriptive text (for example, “We sell Step ’n Wash Products”) as long as it is clear your business is separate.

11) Paid search and advertising

Paid search bidding is prohibited. You must not bid on our trademarks or confusingly similar terms in paid search advertising, including on Google, Bing, or other search platforms. This includes, without limitation:

  • “Step ’n Wash”
  • misspellings, close variants, or different punctuation
  • “Step n Wash”
  • “StepandWash”
  • any terms that combine our Marks with words like “coupon,” “discount,” “wholesale,” or “official”

You must not run ads that use our logo or Marks in a way that is misleading about your relationship to Step ’n Wash.

12) Marketplace restrictions and Brand Assets

You may not use Brand Assets in any Marketplace context, including:

  • product listings
  • storefront pages
  • Marketplace ads
  • Marketplace fulfillment promotions

If you want an exception, it must be granted in writing by Step ’n Wash and will be limited to the specific use approved.

13) Ownership and registrations

All Brand Assets remain our property (or our licensors’ property). You do not acquire any ownership rights in our Marks.

You must not apply to register any Step ’n Wash Mark or any confusingly similar mark anywhere in the world.

If you become aware of misuse, confusion, or infringement, notify us.

14) Attribution

Where reasonable, include:

  • “Step ’n Wash is a trademark of Step ’n Wash LLC.”

15) Quality control and takedowns

We may request changes or takedowns of any use of Brand Assets for brand consistency, accuracy, or legal risk. You must comply promptly.

If you are deauthorized or terminated, you must immediately stop using all Brand Assets and remove Step ’n Wash logos and badges from your websites and marketing.

16) Approvals and questions

If you want to use Brand Assets in a way not clearly allowed here, request approval in writing before publishing.

Send requests to: legal@stepnwash.com (or another email address we provide) and include:

  • where the content will appear (URL or screenshot)
  • the exact creative (image, ad copy, landing page)
  • the dates it will run
  • any claims being made

Approval, if granted, applies only to the specific use approved.

17) Enforcement

Violations may result in actions including:

  • required takedown or correction
  • suspension or revocation of Brand Asset permission
  • loss of Preferred Pricing
  • deauthorization and refusal of orders
  • legal action, including injunctive relief where appropriate
